Landscape Lighting FAQ
Answers on landscape lighting cost, fixtures, permanent holiday lighting and more from Evening Glow LLC, veteran-owned in Central Kentucky.
How much does landscape lighting cost in Kentucky?
In Central Kentucky, professional landscape lighting ranges from $2,000 to $8,000 depending on property size. Starter systems run $1,500-$3,000. Full property systems run $4,000-$10,000. Evening Glow LLC offers free design consultations and transparent pricing.
Can I see what my house will look like before I buy anything?
Yes, two ways. Upload one photo to the free AI lighting preview at lightdeck.tech/coach and see your own home lit tonight. Then we confirm the real thing with a free after-dark demo on your property, and you approve the placement of every light before installation.
Do you offer a veteran or first responder discount?
Yes. Evening Glow is owned by a disabled U.S. Army veteran and we offer a discount for veterans and first responders. Mention it when you call or text (859) 403-3303.
Is Evening Glow LLC veteran-owned?
Yes. Evening Glow LLC is owned by a disabled U.S. Army veteran. We are Central Kentucky's only disabled veteran-owned landscape lighting company, serving Nicholasville, Lexington, Georgetown, Versailles, Richmond, and Winchester.
What areas do you serve?
We serve Nicholasville, Lexington, Georgetown, Versailles, Richmond, and Winchester, covering Jessamine, Fayette, Scott, Woodford, Madison, and Clark counties.
What fixtures do you use?
Solid brass fixtures with energy-efficient LED bulbs. Brass does not rust, weathers to a warm patina, and lasts for decades in Kentucky weather.
Do you install permanent holiday lighting?
Yes. App-controlled permanent roofline lighting systems that stay year-round.
How long does installation take?
Most installs complete in one day. We do a full nighttime walkthrough after.
Is landscape lighting worth it?
For most homes, yes. It improves curb appeal, security, and how much you actually use your outdoor space after dark, and a home that shows well at night stands out. It also protects what you have already invested in your landscaping.
Do you offer maintenance plans?
Yes. Annual plans include bulb replacement, adjustments, and seasonal reprogramming.
Are you insured?
Yes, we carry full liability insurance for every project.
Why hire veteran-owned?
Military values mean precision, integrity, accountability on every job. We show up on time and stand behind our work.
What makes the free after-dark demo different?
We bring fixtures to your property and light it after dark so you see the actual result on your own home before you spend anything. Nothing is guessed from a catalog or a daytime drawing.
Do I approve where the lights go before you install?
Yes. We walk the plan with you and confirm the placement of every fixture. Nothing goes in the ground until you have signed off on the layout.
Why do you use brass instead of aluminum?
Brass does not rust. Painted aluminum fixtures corrode within a few Kentucky winters and need replacing. Brass weathers to a warm patina and keeps working for decades, so you buy the system once.
Will landscape lighting raise my electric bill?
Very little. We use low-voltage LED systems that draw a small amount of power, so a full property typically adds only a modest amount to your monthly bill.
Is low-voltage lighting safe?
Yes. Low-voltage systems run on 12 volts through a transformer, which is far safer around people, pets, and landscaping than line-voltage wiring.
Do you light horse farms and estates?
Yes. We light entrances, drives, barns, fence lines, and residences on horse farms and large estates across the Bluegrass, with fixtures placed to avoid glare for horses and drivers.
Do you work with businesses, HOAs, and venues?
Yes. We light entrances, common areas, facades, and walkways for HOAs, property managers, businesses, distilleries, and event venues across Central Kentucky.
Do you offer outdoor audio?
Yes. We install landscape and patio speaker systems that blend into the yard, set up alongside your lighting.
When should I book holiday or permanent roofline lighting?
Plan in late summer or early fall. Holiday install calendars fill before the season, and permanent roofline systems are best installed ahead of cold weather.
Do you offer a military or first responder discount?
Yes. We offer a discount on installations for active duty service members, veterans, and first responders in Central Kentucky.
Can I control the lights from my phone?
Yes. Our permanent roofline systems and many landscape systems are app-controlled, so you set brightness, color, and schedules yourself.
What does the process look like from first call to finished install?
You reach out, we schedule a free after-dark demo on your property, you approve the placement of every light, we install in solid brass, and we walk the finished system with you after dark.
Do you provide a written quote?
Yes. Your free demo comes with an exact written quote for the scope you approve. Changes to scope are confirmed with you in writing before any work begins.
Do you stand behind your work?
Yes. We are owner-run and fully insured, and we back our installations with a workmanship warranty. Ask for current warranty terms when you book.
